New Superintendent Appointment

The Chilliwack Board of Education is pleased to announce that Evelyn Novak has been appointed as Superintendent of Schools for the Chilliwack School District effective August 15, 2012.
Ms. Novak brings a successful history of teaching, school based administration and district level leadership. She comes to us from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where she was CEO for Prairie Spirit School Division for over six (6) years.
Ms. Novak has a Bachelor of Education, a Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Administration and a Masters of Education, all from the University of Saskatchewan. Her Masters degree in Educational Administration focused on the roles and functions of an effective CEO in a public education environment and included an internship in the Rockyview School Division in Alberta.
Ms. Novak is known for her collaborative leadership style which was evident in her work in amalgamating three (3) school divisions. Her work in uniting cultures, communities and staff was a remarkable success with a ninety (90) percent satisfaction rating.
