DISTRICT STATEMENT
The Chilliwack School District has been informed by the RCMP that criminal charges have been brought against a teacher involving allegations of child luring.

The teacher is not currently teaching in our schools.  Our first priority is, and always will be, the safety and well-being of our students and ensuring a safe learning environment for them.  The district takes its role of protecting student welfare very seriously and acts quickly on any information that comes to its attention.

The district has no information to suggest that any students are currently at risk.  However, due to Protection of Privacy legislation, the district is not at liberty to speak about matters relating to personnel or matters that are under investigation.
