Chilliwack Schools Design-Build Projects
In December 2008, the Board of Education of School District No. 33 (Chilliwack) and the Minister of Education entered into Project Agreements to:
- Replace Yarrow Elementary School on the existing site;
- Consolidate Rosedale Elementary School and Rosedale Traditional Middle School into a new Elementary/Middle School on the existing Rosedale Traditional Middle School site; and to
- Replace Chilliwack Secondary School on the existing site.
The School District combined the Yarrow Elementary School and Rosedale Elementary/Middle School projects into a single design-build procurement. The Board of Education determined that the proposal submitted by Yellowridge Construction Ltd. with KMBR Architects offered the greatest value for money. We are pleased that construction is underway in both communities.
The School District procured the Chilliwack Secondary School project as a separate design-build procurement. The Board of Education selected Graham Design-Builders, a JV as the Design-Builder for the Chilliwack Secondary School Replacement Project.
