Rosedale Traditional Community School

February 2012 Update:
Staff and students at Rosedale continue to express pleasure in their new building. The move to the new space  occurred as planned and members of the school community are delighted with the design and appointments of the new school.

Difficulties have occurred in relation to vehicle access to the new school. Flag people will remain in place until the west side of the old Rosedale Middle School can be demolished and a new road put in place to connect with the old  access road. It is expected that this change will occur within two months and access and parking will be completely resolved by the start of school in September.

Thank you for cooperation as we work together in this new site.

The Rosedale Elementary/Middle School Project Agreement provides the necessary funding to build a new kindergarten to grade 9 school (80k + 150 elementary + 300 middle student capacity) to enable consolidation of Rosedale Elementary School and Rosedale Traditional Middle School in new facilities on the Rosedale Middle School site.

With a revised capacity of 510 students from Kindergarten to Grade 9, the new Rosedale Traditional Community School will have an additional 810 square metres of space for day care, youth and Aboriginal services, and an additional 100 metres - funded by the Municipality of Chilliwack - for community multi-purpose use.
