District to Host Information Session for Trustee Candidates Sept 9

The Chilliwack School District will host an information session for individuals interested in running as a school trustee in the 2026 General Local Election. The session will take place at the school district office on Wednesday, September 9th at 4:30pm. The session will provide potential candidates with an understanding of local context, important dates and responsibilities, and the governance role.

The City of Chilliwack is conducting the election on behalf of the district. Nomination packages are now available online or at City Hall. The nomination period runs from September 1 to September 11 at 4:00pm.
