
- When does bussing registration open for the following school year?
Registration opens the first week of February.
- How do I register my child for bussing?
Existing Riders Upcoming Year: A link will be emailed to parents/guardians of previously registered students. This link will allow them to register their child for the upcoming year.
New Riders Upcoming Year: Visit the Transportation page of the Chilliwack School District website.
New Riders Current Year: When registration for the upcoming year has opened, registration for the current school year must be done in person at the Transportation Office - 44877 Yale Road, Chilliwack, V2R 4H3.
- Do I have to register my child for bussing every year?
Yes.
- When will I know if my child's registration has been approved?
After you have submitted your child's registration, you will receive an automatic email indicating that it has been received. Once the registration has been processed, you will receive a second email from Transportation with further information (those who submit registrations before July 31 will hear back from the Transportation Department before the next school year begins).

- $305.00 (per student)
- $610.00 (2 or more students per family)
- Is my child a Courtesy Rider?
Students who live outside the walk limits but within the no-ride zone and attend their catchment school, as well as students attending a school other than their catchment school, are classified as Courtesy Riders. Approval for Courtesy Riders is considered only after Regular Riders are accommodated and if there is availability on an existing route using existing bus stops.
- How do I pay for my child's bussing?
Payment can be made by logging into SD33 Pay Online or by visiting the Transportation Office - 44877 Yale Road, Chilliwack, V2R 4H3.
- Will my child's bussing schedule be the same for the next school year?
Your child's bus number, pick-up and drop-off locations, and times could vary for the upcoming school year. Please review your schedule closely when you receive it.
- How do I receive my child's bussing schedule and bus pass?
Once your child's bussing schedule is finalized, you will receive an email with the schedule details and instructions for obtaining the bus pass. The registration form allows you to choose whether to pick up the bus pass in person or have it mailed to you. Parents who submit their child's bussing registration before the summer break will be notified during the summer when the bus pass is ready.
- Does my child need their bus pass to board the school bus?
Yes. Bus passes are mandatory. An initial bus pass will be given when a child's registration has been processed. Replacement bus passes will be available for $10.00 at the Transportation Office if a student loses or damages their pass.
- Am I required to meet my child at their bus stop?
Kindergarten students must have a parent/guardian to meet them at the bus stop. Kindergarten students without a guardian to meet them will be returned to their school.
For students in grades 1 - 12, having someone meet them at their stop is at the parent's discretion.
